Licensing Process

Obtaining a Real Estate License
In order to obtain a Real Estate License in Connecticut, you need to be at least 18 years of age, have completed the 60 hour Principles & Practices Course through an accredited school, and have passed the Course Final Exam with at least 70% correct. Then, you need to apply to take the State’s Licensing Exam and pass it with at least 70% correct. Once you have accomplished all of this, you will recieve a licensing certificate, this must be signed by you and notarized, finally the Broker you have decided to work with will sign it and forward it to the the Consumer Affairs Deparment, who will then issue your new license. There are fees involved from begining to end, so make sure you know how much to send and when to send it!
